Autobiography

Liwei’s interests lie in motion planning, decision-making systems, and reinforcement learning. He has experience in autonomous driving and surgical robotics. He received his Master of Science in Robotic Systems Development from Carnegie Mellon University and his Bachelor of Science in Biomechatronics Engineering from National Taiwan University.

His interest in robotics was inspired by the movie Prometheus. In particular, the scene in which Dr. Shaw uses an automated medical pod to perform an emergency cesarean section impressed him with its dexterity, autonomy, and intelligence.
